The fluoride in municipal drinking water is laced in a chemical called Hexafluorosilcic Acid (HFSA). This is achieved by brushing the chimney stacks from the phosphate fertilizer industry. Up to 8lbs of LEAD and 2 lbs of ARSENIC are in every 40,000 ton truck load that comes into our city, in addition to cadmium, selenium, radiocative uranium 238, mercury, chromium and phosphorus.
So, how much is it costing us? 500 million over 10 years to add an industrial waste into our water.
Fluoride is only slightly less toxic than arsenic and more toxic than lead.
About the campaign:
This is a campaign to end Fluoridation across Canada. The campaign's immediate goal is to educate the public in both the dangers of fluoridation and the power they hold with leveraging support for their local politician by making this an election issue. Now and until we defeat it everywhere.
Phase one began in Toronto in 2008. Since the campaign, nearly hundreds of volunteers and groups have come forward to stand on one platform to fight fluoridation across the country. In April 2010, local organizations including Regenesis, Citizens for Safe Drinking Water, People for the Environment and the Toronto chapter for the Council Of Canadians, founded the Toronto Coalition Against Fluoridation (TCAF), a grassroots effort to join with other local bodies in the fight against fluoridation. Plans are under way to meet with all mayoral and council candidates to present research findings and achieve the support their constituent voters deserve.
The campaign's long term goal is to achieve a plebiscite; a vote on the ballot that will have voters decide for the continuation of fluoridation in Toronto's water supply. To force municipal government into this referendum, 10% of total resident voters must hand sign the petition.

Vote OUT Fluoride will have a meeting on the last Saturday of each month, to organize and plan for our municipal campaign to end fluoridation in Toronto's public water. All are welcome to attend. New members are always encouraged. This campaign needs NUMBERS. Please bring at least one person along.
